2. Then, by question,
x % of 840 = 11
i.e. x /100 × 840 = 11
i.e. x = 55/42 = 1.3
So, the required percentage is 1.3%.
Note: For the instant method,
Do like this,
Make 11 as the numerator and 840 as denominator and multiply the fraction with 100%
i.e 11/840 × 100 % = 1.3%[Approximate value]
