The Help, as I understand, involses the time in american history 40's/50's that african american wemon were nanny's and house keepers in the deep south. They hear and saw everything in the households... A novelist decides to interview them and right a book about it.

My mother grow up in the 40's with a black nanny/house keeper. The nanny's husband showed up drunk on shine and pulled are into the yard and started beating her. My Grandfather shot him...  I think it could be an interesting look at a forgotten time in America.
