THE answer I came up with is 1/27.
4/9 divided by N = 12
4/9 divided by N multiplied by N = 12 multiplied by N
4/9 = 12N
4/9 divided by 12 = 12N divided by 12
4/108 = 1/27 = N

4/9 divided by 1/27 = 12       4/9 x 27/1 = 108/9 = 12
