Ward Rankin Burke, 1/30/1916 - Lt. or 2nd Lt. in Marines World War II. How to find what division?

Hello! My father passed away last May. He had never talked about his experience in the South Pacific but last couple of months he started talking to "Joe". How can I find out what division he fought and other people that fought with him. Where do I find the answer you send me back? My email is mrbUnlimited@yahoo.com; 832-721-5683. With Gratitude, Marilyn Ruth Burke

Contact the Veterans Administration Office near you and explain who you are, in relation to him and they should be able to assist you.  If not, ask for the Veterans Liaison and see if they can point you to the proper channels.  If you are still unable to get the info. speak to your Representative or Senator, of your state and have them assist with the request to the Veterans Administration.  My wife retired from the VA and this was not an unusual protocol or request at all... Good luck, and sorry for your loss.
