    What is it and how did it happen and what do you do about it?

    Calcium deposits don't usaully occur on your R thigh, or your L thigh, .......b/c on your thigh is mostly muscle and fat. I think you're talking about the right side of your hip....or more precisely , on the head of your trocantor......which is the top of your thigh  i.e......your thigh bone . That's probably what hurts. Mine did too, thruough out most of the 90s.  If  you still insist pain is in the front of back of your thigh, it is probably a pulled muscle.
