In order to get the sound back on your computer you want to first start with the obvious (but often overlooked) stuff. Try checking to see that the speakers are turned on, volume is up, they ARE indeed plugged into the computer properly (haven't been pulled or wiggled loose). If all of those are in place then there may be an issue with the sound settings being disabled, bad motherboard, or bad sound card.
