You are kidding right? Where do you think catchup comes from or pizza sauce or that red thing in your hamburger? The tomato is a fruit (if I understand correctly) treated as a vegetable. It is used to make sauces, enhance salads, to be thrown, etc...

...nothing like a good tomato salad...heirloom tomatoes are in season here. Delicious.
Rub it in, it's too hot to grow tomatoes here. I'm missing a good, old fashioned tomato sandwich-white bread, tomato, mayo, and salt and pepper. You eat them over the sink.... I also love then stuffed. Damn, I want a homegrown tomato! A dozen would do me just fine!!!!
