If you had surgery, you may ask how can you have prostate cancer if your prostate gland was taken out. This recurrence may have happened because some of the prostate cancer cells moved outside your prostate gland before it was taken out. These cells may not have been found because they were too small or there were not enough of them to be found. These cells then started to grow in the area where the prostate gland used to be or in another part of your body. When prostate cancer cells spread to other parts of the body it is called metastasis.
its Doctor Pamela now very well said My Husband had a scare last year as there were some abnormal cells anyway they found out it wasnt cancer thank God but it was auwful I preyed evryday for 6 months he still has some problems but at least he is alive and kicking :-)
I agree, Mel! Thank God it was not cancer. Glad to hear your husband is doing well in spike of his condition. :-)
thats why after surgery its always safe bet to continue with Psa blood test regulary too see if your PSA is raising again if so its a sign of prostrate cancer reoccuring . I know as I had the surgery 10 yrs ago
