      1) Be sure to clean off all residue from years of cooking, turpentine, grease remover or the like. 2) Wash down with warm sugar soap/ water mix. 3)wipe again with clean water. 4)When thoroughly dry give a light sand with 600 grit paper.5) There is a paint avaiable from your paint shop for painting over laminate.
