      Late November to Late May, that's not really "winter" but just cold weather.

        Yes, everybody in the Northern Hemisphere has the same seasonal months of winter, but they are opposite in the Southern Hemisphere.  I assume you are in N. Hemisphere?  And it is almost identical with the degrees of latitude in which you are located.  Ex. England is almost same as Southern New England, as as such, our climates are similar.

          It's the same as every other place in the Northern Hemisohere; December 20/21 until 3 months later.

            since winter has started on the 21st of dec, it has got a little bit warmer in the u/k.but a lot wetter,
