          Use the relation: 2.54 cm = 1 inch


          So, 1cm = 1/2.54 inch


          & 22 cm = 22/2.54 inch which is nearly equal to 8.66 inch


          Note: For any conversion, first of all know the conversion factor and solve it.


          For instance, in above problem the conversion factor is 2.54.
