I remember Pearl Harbor every year and it was before my time. But time heals all wounds... Take a look at the kids asking what 9/11 was all about..

I asked a 9/11 question here yesterday.I never got a single reply.

But I will always remember it.

I also remember the Battle of Long Tan(Vietnam) Aug 18th every year.

If another attack does occur I don't think it will overshadow Or be overshadowed (by) 9/11.

Every thing that happens in you own personal history or in the time of you life stays in your memory for you own reasons.

I have very good reasons for these 2 events staying in mine.

It has been my finding that many things in the US bloom and fade. This is not a reflection on any event or any one person but I think when the event happens it turns into a circus of hysteria by the media and they blow it up to the stage it becomes folklore.
Sadly when something else occurs the focus changes to the new item.
This is not the US citizens fault it is the way they have been tuned by the media.
Obviously this is not every single person in the USA.
How much is taught in the schools about history 2/10ths of bugger all.

Go to Fromelles in France and over the doorway of the school is "REMEMBER THE AUSTRALIANS" and the children sing the Australian National Anthem every morning. WHY? because Australian soldiers freed them from German control in one of the bloodiest battles of World War 1. A battle where my namsake, my Uncle was killed in 1917
That my friends is remembering history.
