Henry Ford was the inventor of the automobile assembly line making it faster & cheaper to produce cars.
Everything was done with one eye on cost.
Specifications for various parts suppliers even included specifications for the packing crates they came in because this timber could be re-used as floor boards.
Also when he introduced his famous "T" model Ford to the world he made a statement.
"You can have it in any colour you like.As long as you like black".
