    have you ever said something in jest only to be taken seriously?

    years ago i was stopped by a charity collector and when she asked me if i wanted to give something i looked at her"do i have to?"Ididnt mean it but she took me seriously,she started backing off and apologising!Boy,MY time to apologise!!!!!and ,yes,i DID put something in her tin after that!!!!
