That weirdo crown design is connected to an automatic movement from Vostok the 2416B. link Measuring 24mm across the 31-jewel 2416B ticks at 2.5 Hz while offering 31+ hours of power reserve overwinding protection link and a link date function. Being a movement designed for robust simplicity it lacks both a quick-set date and hacking though you can pause the movement with a bit of rotational back pressure on the crown when setting the time just as you might with a Seiko 7S26.
