      Penguin, Carraway, Emu,  and Ostrich do not fly.

        The kakapo and the now extinct great auk. also the Stevens Island wren which was  the only flightless perching bird.

          Kiwis don't fly, neither did moas in fact they do not have any remnants of wings.Here is a sad little rhyme about the moa:


          No moa, no moa


          In old Ao-tea-roa,


          Can't get 'em.


          They've et 'em;


          They've gone and there ain't no moa.

            Every bird under a certain age cannot fly. They are too young to fly and don’t have the needed feathers.
