Get some good old fashioned movies.That's why kids grow up bad today.You got to control what they watch.

Wow what an inquisitive child you have...thats something never noticed in the kids shows let alone my kids ever catching that point

Personally, I think that there are plenty of movies that the mother is the survivor. But I think you have to look at the story line that was written., and what place mothers have in the family . Mothers have been left by men to raise thier children, provide finacially ,emotionally and ethiclly for the children. They raise fine young men and tought  them to be proud and work hard . Nothing new really. Men died in war, in work related accidents, and some just  bailed out for something better. The story is an old one  and has been told over and over . So I think they tried to show a different side to Men . Still holding on to what society feels or thinks men should be or not be. proving  he can love, but struggles with showing emotions, showing he is brave but struggles with fear, seeing  he is strong but has has weeknesses. Thus showing young children that  men can change the persona set for men ages ago. Letting boys know its o.k. to cry, love, be afraid , be faithful, hold your children , be who they really are. And also turn girls intohopeless romantics that are still gonna expect Prince charmming to show up or find the prince charming deep in the man she loves.

ANd the other side to this is ..... In reality Women would die off first. we live in a world where women go for the children  and men go for the weapons.our hands our full of live and theirs are full of death. Both for the same cause.

i love my mom more theen my dad why becouse your mom caried you in her womb and all so you need your dad as will i whount tell the full stoory be couse itz rude but if you have a problem its not your dad to bake up but itz you mom my mom is more secure theen my dad. my dad is an adrenaline

I'm sorry I thought the question at hand was about your 8 year old not about your questioning yourself about raising your son. I was right it was about your son. I think in his question he's telling you he feels he likes you more at the moment and feels his dad is trying to make him love him more or he would like his dad to like him more. Try saying "you know what I think, that the men who wrote those movies did not want everybody to think they love more their mom than their dad because they love them both the same amount. Take Care
