For the majority of people technology 50 years ago was a radio, manual typewriters and ‘adding machines’, closely followed by telephone and television. …… I think very few people would have anticipated or predicted the explosive developments within technology that have taken place over the last half century. Have a look at some old BBC science programmes, like ‘Tomorrow’s World’, that gives a good sense of how the future was perceived then,,,,, the next 50 years, I wouldn’t have a clue, colonise the moon, communication by thought, teleporting…. Nope, I wouldn’t have a clue!
