If this engine has an aluminum head, begin by spraying around each plug with generous amounts of penetrating oil.Remove old plugs with plug socket.Gap new plugs and reverse prociedure to reinstall. It is a good idea to use a small dab of anti-siezing  compound on threads before reinstalling plugs.Plug gap con be found on a sticker in the engine compartment.Be carefull not to over torque the new plugs(this is very easy to do).As for how often, the owner's manual will advise.Take your time and good luck!
