    what insect bite cause the foot and leg to swell

    my husband was biten on the bottom of his large toe andwithin 24 hours his leg had swollen to the point it was painful for him to walk, there was no blisters.the dr. said if he had waited a couple more hrs.he would had been in serious trouble

        There's anything from spiders to ants to flying insects.  Too vague to answer.  Sorry.  Especially if the Doctor didn' t know.
