Wow, I didn’t know this was even questioned.  Here are some bible quotes to argue over and answer your question:   What Christian denomination does not believe in the secret rapture?

Most Christian churches do not accept this belief, including Catholics, Orthodox, Anglicans, most Protestants, etc.

Scripture verses arguing against a secret rapture:

2Pt:3:10: But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

"Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him." (Revelation 1:7).

"And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory." (Matthew 24:30).

"Our God shall come, and shall not keep silence: a fire shall devour before him, and it shall be very tempestuous round about him." (Psalm 50:3).

"Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory." (Luke 21:26, 27).

"And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the Lord; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation." (Isaiah 25:9).

"For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming." (1 Corinthians 15:22, 23).

"For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be

Good job, jh. You really know your bible. I knew about the rapture, but I never heard it called a secret rapture. Did you know that the bible NEVER mentions the word Rapture ?

That's correct Juliana about the word Rapture not being mentioned in the Bible. :)

lots of modern Christian Protestant churchs don't get into all that stuff about the rapture and the post trib and pre-trib. A minister said, off the recored, " We don't want to scare anybody away "

But, when I was in my 20s and 30s, I went to an evengelical Presbyterian church, and the minister there had a Phd in theology and strictly adhered to the bible. So, I got quite a good education in it. I used to go Sun morning, Sun evening, and Wed night to his bible class.

i do not understand why you have got so many thumbs down, whether people agree with you or not..In Aussie , we have uniting church,Christian Outreach,Outreach for Christ and a whole heap of others who believe in the rapture an the gift of "speaking in tongues "the rapture is no secret,i do not know why anybody would say so,,i myself spoke in tongues for about 5 seconds,,i have never done so since,,for those who do tongues,, i believe they will get more from God than i will for doing so,,when you do speak in tongues you know it is not you,,and it can scare you,,,but if you keep going, you will get more understanding,,it is my fault that i do not get more,,but i can say it is one heck of an experience ,,i know there are Americans who speak in tongues,,because teen challenge and Nicky Cruze came from U S A,,but i get the feeling Robert might know a bit more than me,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Always nice talking guys and gals

This person received 1 thumbs down when the question was asked 3 years ago from a member who no longer participates on this forum. The member who gave the thumbs down I've noticed has given several thumbs down to religious questions.

Christianity as known in the USA, is differently understood and taught in every community from sea to shining sea. Wide-eyed true believers transfixed by their amazing realization are commonly found among the Evangelical tents of gatherings and churches nation wide. More to follow later...  Denominations Groups are Western Adventist, Anabaptist, Anglican Baptist, Calvinist, Catholic, Evangelical, Holiness, Lutheran, Methodist, Protestant, Pentecostal, Eastern Orthodox, Eastern Catholic, Oriental Orthodox, Assyrian, Nontrinitarian Jehovah's Witness LDS Church Oneness Pentecostal.

The numbers of people involved in some form of Christianity number into the billions and if two Christians are in the same room discussing Christianity they will find something to disagree about in their personal view of the same text. This why there so very many churches throughout the world. In many cites there are 300 or more Christian churches. Finding a church that does not teach in some way is so special that you must ask all of them your question to get a response. And I say; Seek and you will find,  knock and the door will be opened....

Go now and let no one stand in your way to finding what you are looking for...I don't have it and your personal understanding and faith in finding what you are seeking should lead you to theological seminaries globally in quest of an answer.
