    why when you drop your toast does it always land butter side down?

    Murphys Toast Law. If it didn't you'd get a double Murphys Law ticket (like stepping in dog poop). Matter over mind (your mind failed your hand and you dropped it). Where you thinking about something else right then? Like "I gotta get some jam on this" ?

    Same reason the lid off the butter bowl lands on the wrong side.

    Yes Roger it's true the buttered side does always land on the floor. Perhaps you should use Flora light.

    because the butter added to the toast is heavier than just the toast alone therefore it is a matter of gravity
