that's hard to say without knowing the specific circumstances of the case.

Some people simply don't consider such an introductory reunion necessary, as they don't give much importance to what their family think about their partner. Also, you don't say what kind of relationship your boyfriend has with his family. If it is very conflictive, logically it wouldn't make much sense for him to expose himself and you to them.

The case is different, of course, if he has frequent and positive contact with his family and he has been denying your existence in front of them. That would need some serious and honest conversation. But as I said, you practically give no details, so I can't really say very much here.
