    I believe the Rogaine that I have applied for the last 2 years is backfiring on me, in other words, it is now making my hair fallout more than ever and almost impossible to continue using as it is irritating my scalp. I have tried to cut down the applications to 2-3 times a week but there is still a reaction. Should I discontinue use and then start up again.     You have answered your own question. Discontinue it before you end up with no hair and a serious infection.
