You can change 5/6 to a decimal. The answer would be 9.8333...
(1/6 = .1666...)
Your problem 59/6 reads "fifty-nine divided by six". You are looking for a quotient (the answer in division). "Product" is the answer in multiplication.

Thanks! I think giving a little explanation helps. I should have told him 10, though, because 59 is closer to 60 (60/6). That would have been a better estimate.
