      Velpar will kill a tree. Some idiot here in Texas poisoned our Treaty Oak and killed it.  It was over 100 years old! His girlfriend had broken up with him.....yep, Velpar.............

        Shame on him! The tree must of reminded him of girlfriend.

        Drill holes in the trunk and inject glyphosate weedkiller, or use sodium chlorate if you can find some.
