1cor:10:25 Whatever is so;d in the shambles, eat, asking no question for conscience' sake.=The Shambles is the public meat market. Whatever meat is sold in the public meat market, a christian may buy and eat. Sometimes this meat had been offered to idols. The pagan priests had more than they could eat; therefore, they sold meat to the market merchants, who later sold the meat to the public. However, not all meats i the marketplace had been sacrificed to idols. Paul teaches Christians to assume meat in the market had no religious significance. The Christian is purchasing the meat to eat, not to worship an idol. Therefore, ther is no need to ask where it came from. This principle is discussed by Paul in Romans 14:14.17,20. (Jim Sheerer)
Rightman: Not all the verses from 14-32 are about meat. If you want each of the (meat) verses explained to you as this one has been explained, then let me know. I'll be back on here later tonight. I just don;t want to write all of this and you never even come back to this site to see it. The Bumpkin...
