Download and install an audio conversion software, such as Winamp Media Player or Litex Media Audio Conversion Wizard.

Click the desktop icon for the new program. A dialog box will open. You will see a blank field in which you can identify the files to be converted. Under that field you will see a button labeled "Add." Click the button, then navigate to the folder on your computer where you have stored the files.

Click the button labeled "New Format" or "Select Destination Format." From the drop-down menu that appears on the following screen, select MP3. Click OK.

Find the field marked "Destination File Location." If the folder the program selected is satisfactory, do nothing. To change the field, click the button labeled "Browse" and navigate to the location you prefer.

Click the button labeled "Convert" or "Convert Now."
