I have had as many as 10 cats at once they all vary really my oldest cat is Henry and he is 18 years old but my Oilver who was strapping lad he was only 8 years old and died this year of a blood clot within 1 hour of when it happened he was sadley put to sleep one minet he was fine and he jumped down from a chair and collasped so I think the average would be any thing from 10 to late teens

Indoor cats usually live longer because they are not exposed to environmental hazards but I think it's cruel to keep a cat locked up inside when they are happiest outdoors. Mine have always had access to nature as well as inside the house and I've had several live to be 12-17 years old. Keep up with their inoculations/shots especially if they do go outside!!
