Now , that would be a tough choice. Hope I never have to come up against it. All I can say is that if my fiance' wanted me to get rid of my cats, then something's wrong with him and I'd have to break up with him or just not marry him. My 3 cats are my familiy .

If there is a medical reason, I could see it.

Did you have the pet before the affiance? If so and there isn't a medical reason, tell this person to take a hike! He is to controlling! Anyone that loved you and wasn't a mental mess, would never ask/tell you to get rid of your pets. To me it's the same as saying, I don't like your kid get rid of him, or I'm leaving. Hit the road!

He is a control freak, dump him!

I wouldn't want anyone who didn't like animals in my life.

I would choose my cat every time if the partner does nt like cats then he isnt worth knowing a person who shows affection for animals are going to be warmer to you and this has been proven by researchers

You don't give a reason why you need to make the decision. Is she allergic to cats or just don't like them? If she is allergic she has a reason not to want cats in her life. You need to decide which you cannot bear to be without.

If she just doesn't like cats, dump her.
