Years ago when I was a student in Edinburgh I could play a round for 1 shilling (5 pence). I told an old guy about this and he asked if that was before the War. I replied that I was not alive before the War!

You are OLD,Students get on the old course free now, the home of golf, a shilling would pay the rent then,I wish I could still play, I'm surrounded with excellent golf courses.
