They fought Twice only
1st Fight:Called "The Showdown" Leonard won RSF 14th (Hearns was ahead on all three cards
(124-122,125-122,125-121)September 16th 1981 at Caesars Palace
2nd Fight:Called "The War" Was declared a draw (113-112 Hearns,113-112 Leonard,112-112)June 12th 1989 Caesars Palace
Most people who saw the fight thought Hearns Should have won.
Leonard later admitted that hearns should have won.
After several retirements/comebacks by Leonard when the 3rd fight looked likely ,Hearns could not make the weight.
