Tyler The Creator's Missing Brother Found
Odd Future member and brother of posse chieftainTyler, Earl Sweatshirt has supposedly been located somewhere in the South Pacific, the Samoan Islands to be specific. Soon after Earl released the beautifully-misogynistic self-titled debut, Earl, in 2010, his mother caught drift of the LP and, disgusted by the lyrical content, banished him into exile at boarding school.
Music critics have since praised Earl for his incredible flow, as he was only 16 when he released his first LP. Some even say he may be the most-talented 16 year old ever to come into the Rap game. Despite the brash claims, Complex did a little snooping around this week and found a Thebe Kgositsile, Earl’s real name, enrolled at the Coral Reef Academy in Samoa.
The following is Coral Reef’s mission statement: “Has your son lost his way? Is he lost in anger, lost in depression, lost in drugs or alcohol? Is he withdrawn, struggling in school, or defiant? Does he refuse to take responsibility for his actions? Does he seem unreachable? What if there was a place where your son could be nurtured back to wholeness while being challenged toward responsible adulthood? A serene paradise where he could get away from the distractions of daily life and learn to play and laugh again in the company of true friends. A place with US licensed therapists and a robust treatment program to address his emotional and behavioral struggles.”
Either angered by the invasive reporting, or the dystopian, Aldous Huxley-esque description of the place, Tyler, Earl’s brother, took to Twitter to vent his frustration about Complex’s investigative journalism, “F*ck @complexmag. You'll Never Get That Cover You Wanted. I Am Very Protective Over Odd Future, And You Crossed The Line In My Eyes.”
