That's a good question. I was hoping that someone found the answer for you on here. I too had and have the essential / familia tremor and was wondering if it's pre-parkinsons. My cousin is 75 and developed Park. over the last 2 years. It started with just her right hand shaking. And she's right handed. She can't even write now.One of her grand daughters had the essential tremor even when she was little Her mother, my aunt, had the hand tremor all of her adult life, but never got Park. Our 2nd cousin,......my mother's cousin had quite a case of Park when she was only in her 50s and 60s......but still continued to travel around the world b/c she was a retired teacher. My hands shook all the way thru Jr. High and H.S. Embarrassing ! Then , when I was in my 20s, I sort of " out grew it " But, now I've noticed some of my fingers shaking when I try to text or something. I hope to God , it's not Parkinsons for you and me.
