    How many days is okay to skip and then resume an antidepressant?

    im not convinced you should skip any.many years ago i was prescribed prozac and although ,like a lot of anti depressants, they took a month to get into your system had to take them daily.hope youre feeling better soon

    You really shouldn't skip your meds if you want them to be effective. They need to stay in your system. Why would you want to stop and then resume anyway...finances perhaps or because you can't get in to see your doctor soon enough for a refill? Personally I wouldn't stop taking antidepressants as it takes about 6 weeks for them to even start being effective initially so I wouldn't disrupt the cycle if I were you...good luck!
