Yolanda King, the first-born child of Martin Luther King Jr. and Coretta Scott King, was remembered a day after her death as an activist in her own right who used her career as an actress, producer and lecturer to push for social change.
King, 51, collapsed and died Tuesday in Santa Monica, Calif. The cause of death was not known but was believed to be a heart ailment, according to a family statement.
