    Has anyone had problems with pain (6 months or more) after bunion surgery

    I had bunion surgery (austin) where they put a pin in the big toe, six months ago & I STILL cannot wear closed toe shoes (except tennis shoes). All flat shoes or sandals cause me pain. I had regular bunion sugery on the other foot several years ago but they did not use a pin & that foot is fine.

      My sister had that surgery and it took her over a YEAR for the pain to subside. She refused to have the other foot done because of it. I hope your pain doesn't last as long as hers was.
