      For 1) Bravery, 2) Acts of Merit. 3) Meritorious Service.


      If you are awarded the medal, it is for Merit. If You are awarded the V, it is for Valor.


      The highest medal in the Army is the Legion of merit.


      I just researched this for a book, glad I kept notes!
