They gave him steroids, and something  for his nerves. When he was checked out they did a MRI on his brain. It show up. It all helped, but it was short lived. He had so many, then a major stroke.

When we got him to the hospital, they found he was eat up with cancer. We were told to take him home to die. It was pretty shitty care, and from the best hospital in the state. He was 62, the day before all this happened he was water skiing. He was always active. It took exactly 10 years for him to pass away.

I am so sorry, what a way to lose a loved one. Thank you for answering me or, trying to. I don't know who T.I.A.s are worse on, the person having them or the frustrated person witnessing them...

    sorry to hear this Daisy

What does your doctor say? You can try alternative medicine. Weigh out your options. Maybe a combination of both would help. My dad had TIA's, till he had a massive stroke. His doctor was very passive about his health care. Let your doctor know you want answers and action.

Without knowing your health-care history, this question is impossible to answer.

    Good Luck!

Because of his insurance, my house mate has different doctors all the time and not one has diagnosed him with T.I.A.s yet I watch him suffer these at least once a week. He suffers paralysis, shortness of breath, stuttering, repetition, etc. all or a combination of some.I give him Xanax for lack of anything else and it seems to help. How was your dad treated? Or was he. We're in Austin and just lack an avenue to explore. Any suggestions?

Thank You, This is not my field of medicine. I was hoping it had improved. It seems when someone gets a little age on them, they are forgotten. Push aside.

The one thing I have learn in the medical field is be assertive. The squeaky wheel gets oiled first.
