I recently retired and was directed to the phone # above about the problem. I had three policies and canceled two. I kept the Cancer Policy, now they claim they have not been paid, but Springfield tells me the money is being deducted from my check. Please send advice.

Ask your bank for proof that the money is being paid for your insurance policy. Then try and contact customer service and show them the proof.
Keep moving up to the chain of command until you get a manager. Document everything including the persons name and ID number of who you were talking to and how long you spent waiting and talking on the phone to get the problem resolved. They have to supply that information.
Another good idea is when you are speaking to the agent tell them you are recording the conversation just like they are doing to you, just bluff they do not know for sure if you are recording the conversation.. It works as they change their tune and suddenly become much more helpful.
If you still can't get results contact a TV station something like Silverman helps, if you live in Canada if not they must have something similar in the USA.
Good luck and God bless.
