Download and install iTunes onto the laptop.

Open iTunes. Click “File” located at the top of the program. A box will appear. Choose “Add Folder to Library” in that box and a window will open.

Click the folder holding the music you want to put onto the iPod. Then, click “OK” to add all of the music to iTunes.

Connect the iPod to one of the laptop's USB ports using the iPod cable.

Click the “Music” option located under “Library.” The songs saved in iTunes will become visible in the center of iTunes.

Click every song you want to put on your iPod. Drag the songs to the iPod that's listed under “Devices” on the left iTunes column. This adds the songs to your iPod.
7
Unplug your iPod when an "OK to Disconnect" message appears near the top of iTunes.
