Possible that you are using two or more email receiving devices, example, your smartphone and your laptop. I set mine up so that all email that comes to me if I open in my smartphone, they STAY on the server until I open them again on my home computer. You may has this option activated and no matter how many times you try to delete from the secondary device, they will come back. Emails must be downloaded from the server. Your secondary device is only allowing you to see whats there, read whats there but it does not remove from server. I don't know your devices nor you email carrier but you will need to go into your email options and click on 'download from server' or similar command. 'remove from server' etc..
