April 1t, approx 2am. a jet seemed to take off from the airport creating a large noise...this has happened on other occasions...will this occur more frequently? Even John Wayne Airport stops big jets from landing and taking off late in the night, what is wrong with Riverside County?

I lived out in S.CA for a while and sometimes worked in Temecula, or the Murietta Hot Springs area. You need to get on the airport website or check out the FAA to see if the rules of the size of the planes have changed. Most likely it was an emergency landing of a larger plane that didn't want to risk trying to make it back to a larger airport.
If the regulations on the size of the planes allowed to use the runway has changed. You most likely would have seen it on the news. It's a complex process changing the size limit of planes that are allowed to use any certain airport. Good luck with your problem.
