    can i phone people on the ipod touch

    could you just tell me if you can phone poeple on the ipod touch?

      The newest versions of the iPod touch have bluetooth, so if you have a wi-fi connection, you can use Skype and an SMS texting app to talk to your friends. You need that wi-fi connection, though, so it's probably not as portable as you'd want it to be for your purposes.
