Southwest allows one personal item in the cabin per passenger. These items, such as a briefcase, laptop, backpack or camera bag, may be carried on in addition to the one allowable carry-on bag. Some personal items, such as disposable food containers, walking sticks, jackets and personal mobility devices are among the items not counted as "personal items" or "carry-on bags," but which Southwest still allows onboard.
