how much time does a lender have to send a release of lein when debt has been paid in full

is there a penalty for the lender for not complying the rhe time allowed this is for a boat loan not a car loan.

Each state in the USA has a different time frame. The time can be anywhere from 30 days to 90 days. You have to check with your state to see what the time frame is for it.

One can also call the lender to see if title has been mailed out and when it was mailed. If it was mailed already but not received, one can request a copy of the release to be mailed to obtain a lost title.
