    I am the beneficary on an anuity. The Anuitant dies before maturity date. Is the anuity part of the estate or is it mine

    Wouldn't the anuitant be the beneficiary and you would be  the person he/ she named as the secondary beneficiary upon his/ her death ? The anuity would go directly to you upon the death, b/c your name is on it as well as hers/his . I think you would reap the benefits of the maturity date, b/c it would then be yours.
