If you're talking about which disease conditions might show up on a lung -function tests ----some of these will make the grade - - - - asthma,pneumonia, COPD --which is the medical term for emphysema;. Bronchiectasis---which means chronic bronchitis. One can contract that without EVER having been a smoker. My aunt had that from all the pnemonia she had . Back in those days , there were NO antibiotics; and many people died of pneumonia. Maybe a lung function test can indicate cancer,but a chest XRAY can do a better job of that. AND , it might indicate cystic fibrosis, but there are better ways of diagnosing that.
