Vacant Land in Illinois

What benefit is there by donating vacant property to the State for wild life conservation? Any tax write offs or ????

We are people at home donating time helping the best we can. Your question is best asked at the state wildlife conservatory you want to donate the land to. I don't know about Illinois but here is CA they would not only give you a write off but they would kiss you! Even if it were in the middle of town, they would rezone it ..
