You say background so I think you mean your opening screen before you go on the internet. You can change your background by right clicking on the screen and selecting Personalize. You can choose a background there.

I do not see "personalize" anywhere to click on.....my background was my own photraph from my gallery....I don't want to choose from from google's background choices....and why did this happen in the first place.....thanks
Then go to that photograph, right click on it and select, "set as desktop background".

It's not the desktop...that's okay the same as I have set up....when I click to get on the internet, I use google, the search page is the one I am asking about.....I would rather see the pic I chose as the background on my search page than the choices they think are my favorites........thanks for trying
